RIP Routemaster

Yes, the wonderful Routemaster bus is making its final journey very soon. The last Routemaster running is the 159 between Marble Arch and Streatham, and the last chance you will have to ride the route will be on December 9th. These beautiful icons of London life are being replaced by ugly great big bendy buses, which are already breaking down. This decision has made many people feel very sad, and I imagine lots will turn out on December 8th and 9th to take the opportunity to send it on its way…reluctantly. No more ‘ding-ding’…
