Sports Day Desk Chair Parade
On Sunday 2 August 2009 you are invited to join Sports Day in Manchester and to take part in an extraordinary event – the Desk Chair Parade. Assembling at Castlefield Gallery at 15:00, a group of willing volunteers – office workers, shoppers and gallery goers alike – will embark on a magnificent adventure, wheeling through the streets of Manchester on ordinary office chairs.
The group will journey through the city to a secret location where, as the grand finale, eight lucky participants will be selected to take part in the Desk Chair Dash – a sprint finish race where the fastest wheeler will win!
