East Wing Collection

2003, web based

This project was commissioned by the East Wing Collection: a biannual exhibition curated by the students of the Courtauld Institute in London and shown in private spaces around the institute buildings, open to the public at special times and by appointment. The theme for this year’s exhibition was Urban Networks, so I began to look at how people move around in the urban setting, creating little animated characters to represent each of the artists participating in the exhibition.

The project was unfunded and had a very short time scale, so I saw this as an opportunity to work in an experimental way and to collaborate with Edward Hill and Nicholas Watton…and to have some fun! We worked quickly and with spontaneity, creating the finished website in two weeks.
