Interventions

March 2001, Sheffield

As I began to look at instructional diagrams, and developed my own instructions, I decided to create instructions for everyday actions. I applied this to the act of taking a drink and using a napkin. This kind of work should be interacted with and really comes alive when shown in the right environment. I approached Site Gallery in Sheffield and asked if I could show the work in their cafĂ©. I researched the possibility of printing images onto paper napkins, and the work was eventually shown alongside the gallery’s live art festival.
