The Daily Commute
In September 2009 I travelled to Kuopio in Finland to participate in the Anti Festival of Live Art. Here I embarked on a journey covering a total of 40km in eight hours, repeatedly walking the same 1km route through the local area, passing through shopping centres, department stores, a market square and along busy streets. As I made my journey, I walked alongside local people travelling to work or during a leisurely shopping trip, often blending in seamlessly as I focused on the long journey ahead of me.
